Hi everyone, I joined the club a few weeks ago and reckon it’s time I stopped lurking and try and make a contribution. I bought a T150T last year as a project, it’s a 1971 US model. The last British bike I owned was a Commando 850 around about 1980, since then I’ve had mainly Moto Guzzis with the odd Ducati and Japanese bike thrown in for good measure.
A few of my pals had Tridents but I never really fancied one until last year when I was looking for a project. Saw this one and bought it to work on over the winter. Refreshed the engine, painted the frame and tank etc, sorted the wiring and got it going. Took 5 weeks to get it registered with the DVLA, got the log book on Wednesday and a numberplate yesterday so naturally I had to take it out for a spin.
I’d forgotten how good these bikes sound even with standard pipes etc. Next job is to retorque the head, reset tappets and try and set the carbs correctly.
Anyway here’s a before and after pic, I’m no purist but I’m happy with the way it looks now.
